goodbye semester!!

Hello classmate!!
This is our last post of the semester, and I hope that we can finish well all our classes without much stress.
In previous semesters we've written stuff mostly, but I think it always helps to practice more than theory, is why blogging helps me learn a little more English. Although I have to say that it's hard to learn.

I think the whole class in English have also helped me practice my ear. I can say that I now understand a little more because the teacher for my first classes were Chinese. Classes this semester were much more dynamic and less terrible than in previous years jajajaj even got a little more entertaining.
I think the experience of the blog and the classes taught in English has been very helpful, to implement and to learn the material better.

Although much respect I think English should be an optional field, because it is very useful but not all students are interested in it. I would like to learn another language, such as French or perhaps have extra hours of drawing. They should give us more chances to decide what is best for each student.

Hopefully we can all pass the final exam of English!
English And end this year with no problems English

See you Wednesday! :)

I love books of julio cortazar. i think that he created a very special way to tell their story. creates places that are so well described that allows us to participate as character in his story
I also like books by Hermann Hesse, Charles Baudelaire, Arthur Rimbaud, Albert Camus, Franz Kafka, Simone de Beauvoir, Edgar Allan Poe, Nicanor Parra and others. Now I do not remember more. I do not have a favorite book but I have several that I keep with great affection; "kafka en la orilla", "El Extranjero", "El Lobo Estepario", "Las Flores del Mal",  "Historias de cronopios y de famas". Hello everyone
Today i would like to talk about traveling.
I'm happy to talk this topic because I really like to travel.
I have traveled extensively south of Chile, I know many beautiful places and have met some very nice people along the way who have made me think that travel and learn from the experience help us to change our thinking.
I have traveled abroad only once with my friend. We traveled to Machu Picchu, Peru. was a great travel, we met a very beautiful culture and very friendly people.
I love to travel with my friends and share the experience but I also like to travel alone because it helps a lot to mature and make decisions.
If I had the opportunity to travel would do it all the time, is something that makes me very happy.
I would like to know places of ancient cultures because they have all the answers to the essential things of life. And I would like to learn everything you can from them.
I would also like to take trips to study abroad and go to France for example, and study some of the old schools of art and learn the beginnings of this practice.

hello Everyone!
In this post I should talk about an item or an expert in my field of study and as I thought I read many articles on choosing a person.
I would like to talk about a Chilean artist who I respect very much.
since the beginning of class of "art history IV" We have been studying the history of Chilean art. and in this history I meet an artist that I'm interested much.

He is a teacher of this university, his name is Francisco Brugnoli. Who made a major contribution to the renewal of art in chile. His works criticize the traditional concept of art, that existed until then. since in his work incorporates various discarded everyday objects, which is related to the precarious existence of the work, that define the ephemeral nature of it. through his work creates a break in the circuit of the art market.

I think the incorporation of new methods of production in the history of Chilean art liberated us from the traditions of European art.
the incorporation of a political matter in the work of an artist I think that is fundamental and necessary.
in his work we can see the union between a political and social discourse and artistic discourse complemented consistently.

the class that this teacher makes is called "experimental painting"
this workshop have a vision conceptual of art works, this is something that interests me a lot, so I like to go to this workshop next year.
some of my classmates of  English are with this teacher...
and I would like to say that they made a good choice :)

see you in class!!

Hello classmates!
Today I would like to talk about an artist that interests me a lot.
I don`t have a favorite artist because I think it's difficult choose only one. Now i remember many artists that i like it, but these last weeks I have been specially thinking about an artist, Francis Bacon.
He was one of the most important contemporary painters and their works I'm interested in his imagination, his pictorial esthetic and strength.
One of his more important works is "Three Studies for Figures at the Base of a Crucifixion" of 1944, where we can see some figures full of expression and that mean something to us.
I don`t have a favorite work of this artist, because all his works is a mystery to me.  All his canvases reflect the human nature, where the characters are feeling stuffed animals. Why his work revolutionized painting, doing his job one more important twentieth century.
His works are not made with a formula but with its own language, that's what I like most.

I invite you to look at your work, it's amazing,

See you in class

Bye!
